Ultra Cool Kingdom Partnerships in this Ultra Hot City

"These are the ... fellow workers for the Kingdom of God who ...have proved to be an encouragement to me."
We praise the Lord for the arrival of our new teammate Trinity Kay, from Santa Cruz, California! After about a 2-year journey of prayer and preparation, of support-building and training, she has finally reached her holy goal of getting to Rome to join us in sharing the Good News with the people of Rome. We last saw Trinity as we served together in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Now we are launching into service side-by-side in this great city. She has a big heart for youth and is so gifted; we are thrilled to see the Lord grow our team through Trinity!

Joe and Mary: With a meal and prayer, last week we four marked one year since the Lord of the Harvest brought us into each other's orbit to be co-laborers in Rome. Once again, we gathered our Friday Night Fellowship for a picnic-in-the-park on Sunday afternoon. Our hearts have been knit together as we have ministered together in an informal partnership as we spur each other on.

Our Friday Night Fellowship is going through transitions this summer, and we pray and work towards stability and growth.

Friends New and Old: Hellos and Goodbyes

It has been a season of hellos and goodbyes for us. In Bruxelles, we rejoiced with our church family to celebrate young friends Matthieu and Christella getting married, visited with longtime coworkers Joel and Dennise, and fellowshipped with our precious Iranian friends too.

In Kandern, Germany, on the occasion of our son Philip's graduation, we hooked up with dear friends and fellow missionaries Kim and Jenny, and Reach Global mates the Gibbons and Carlsons.

Back in Rome, we had a lovely birthday party for Sarah to which we invited new Roman friends (below, Sarah and her language partner Silvana). Then goodbyes to some members (Stephanie, Lydie, Pete, and Shelley) of our Friday Night Fellowship who returned home to France and to New Zealand.
